What formats does Chordio come in?

Chordio is an AU and VST3 MIDI effect for Mac and Windows – macOS 12 or later (Apple silicon and Intel), Windows 10 or later. It sits before your synth on the track and sends it the chord when you press a key.

Does it work in my DAW?

Any DAW that hosts AU or VST3 MIDI effects – Logic, Ableton Live, FL Studio, Cubase, Studio One, Bitwig. Put Chordio before your synth, or on its own MIDI track routed to one.

What can I drop on it?

WAV, AIFF, MP3, M4A or FLAC, up to five minutes. Chordio listens on your computer – nothing is uploaded. It is built for chord loops and pads; if a file sounds like a melody it says so instead of guessing.

How do I get it after purchase?

Your download link arrives by email right after you buy. Run the installer and Chordio shows up in your DAW.

How do I activate it?

The first time you open Chordio, type in your email and order number. Both are in your order confirmation email. You need the internet once, then Chordio works offline.

Is what I make with it royalty-free?

Yes. Everything you make with Chordio is yours – 100% royalty-free, like everything from Soundora.

Does Chordio make sound on its own?

No. It is a MIDI effect: put it before a synth or a piano on the track and it plays that instrument. The sound is yours; Chordio plays the chords.

Can I use it on more than one computer?

Yes. One purchase covers three computers, like the studio, the laptop and a spare. Moving to a new one? Email support@soundorashop.com and we free a slot.

Can I bring my own chords?

Yes. Drag a MIDI clip onto Chordio and it becomes keys. Open any chord in the note editor and move a note. Save a set and it lands in My Chords, ready to play.
